The time in the Way Cult , I made friends with a priest!
In 2018 after joining the Neocatechumenal Way , I made friends with a priest ; I’m not religious far from it but I still made friends with Father Carlos Benitez . In the Neocatechumenal Way , priests are held to an extreme standard which makes it even more difficult to hold them accountable. In the mainstream Catholic Church , priests can do no wrong and are the good guys by default but in The Way, a priest for some stupid reason is treated like overly holy objects that can’t even sit next to an unmarried woman under the age of 65 . Enter Father Carlos Benitez who was raised in the cult by his mother a long time mother. I didn’t wake up one day in April of 2018 and decide to fall for a priest believe me I had no desire to be treated like the Whore of Babylon but I was treated like a scarlet woman.
