The time in the Way Cult , I made friends with a priest!

In 2018 after joining the Neocatechumenal Way , I made friends with a priest ; I’m not religious far from it but I still made friends with Father Carlos Benitez . In the Neocatechumenal Way , priests are held to an extreme standard which makes it even more difficult to hold them accountable.  In the mainstream Catholic Church , priests can do no wrong and are the good guys by default but in The Way, a priest for some stupid reason is treated like overly holy objects that can’t even sit next to an unmarried woman under the age of 65 .   Enter Father Carlos Benitez who was raised in the cult by his mother a long time mother.  I didn’t wake up one day in April of 2018 and decide to fall for a priest believe me I had no desire to be treated like the Whore of Babylon but I was treated 
like a scarlet woman.  For most of my adult life I was am more spiritual even when I did go to church and now at 51 I’m a dedicated pagan.  The Universe brought Carlos and I together in
this reality for a reason ; he’s outgoing , stubborn , down to earth and laid back.  I suspect Carlos was pushed into the priesthood by his mother because in the cult , having a son in the Redemptoris Mater cult seminary and becoming a priest is a big deal ! 🙄 
Carlos and I did develop feelings for each other and we both 
payed the price ; I was bullied and tortured by those in charge of my Way community and Carlos was sent away for good. I don’t hear from him and I’ve accepted that after trying to get in touch with him ; I’ve kept tabs on Carlos and the cult erases any evidence of his locations.  After I left the cult in 2019 , I let them know how I felt in a letter and emails ; they spied on me twice because they wanted to make me look bad.  Anyway I still love Carlos much to my human nature.  I know his current location ; yes I know I’m weak but human.  He looks tired and unwell ; we both paid a high price for our friendship . I hate that fucking cult !

  In April 2018 , shortly after the death of my mother from cancer , I was at my local Catholic Church and after mass , I was persuaded into going to meeting or rather a class ran by a cult called The Neocatechumenal Way founded by a narcissistic cult leader Kiko Arguello in Spain in 1964 with his late devout henchwoman Carmen Hernandez.  It was never my intention to join a very dangerous cult where you are expected to give up everything even your job , family and even your own children.  Arguello started preaching or rather grifting to the poor in Spain then over time his cult grew and expanded like a hot air balloon looming over unsuspecting onlookers not realizing what was really going on; he wants to take over the Catholic Church which doesn’t seem that bad however , it’s a rotten means to an end because the Church is a stepping stone to convert entire populations. All the Neocatechumenal does is abuse and alienate people , and take advantage of them like they did me....
